Allway Sync is a powerful but simple application that helps to keep data synchronized on two locations. A typical application would be to keep a copy of personal files between two different folders; another option would be to synchronize files between two computers through a local network; this latter is widely used. Other options include synchronization on remote locations, like FTP servers, or third-party services such as Amazon S3.
Allway Sync's operation is very simple, and it was designed for users with minimal knowledge about computers. The first user's activity is to create a job; it will contain origin and destination folder's paths. In the case of a synchronization between two computers, users only need to indicate the path to the destination folder where files will be copied. Finally, in the case of remote destinations, is mandatory to include the connection data; if it were an FTP server, is required to complete the server IP, along with user and password.
Users may define the synchronization frequency; it will be triggered by events, like drive connected, commonly the USB device or time intervals. We consider the latter option because it avoids errors or omissions.
When the Allway Sync's interface was tested, we were surprised by its simplicity. The entire application can be operated from a main window, which gives it a higher clarity level than other similar applications. On the top is placed the source and destination paths, along with their configuration options; the rest of the screen is dedicated to display the processing log, showing in detail the changes detected and transferred between origin and destination.
As a conclusion, we can say that Allway Sync is an application that performs all its functions perfectly, without bugs or interruptions in its processes. This software consumes minimal system resources while it resides in the Windows system tray. For these reasons, our testing department recommends its use.
